Dubsado New Pricing Plans, 6th Birthday Sale and More!

 

Big news this week from my favorite CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Platform, Dubsado. In conjunction with their annual birthday sale, #6 this year, they announced a new starter plan, have several new training webinars and a big giveaway!

Many of us in the small business world are faced with two major contenders when it comes to CRM choices. Honeybook and Dubsado. Honeybook is great if you want a simple streamlined CRM, but they only offer themselves as a payment processor and have slightly higher payment processing fees. Dubsado may be the best choice for you if you want to be able to customize your processes or choose to have Stripe or Square and Paypal for credit card processing. Now onto the big news!

1 | New Dubsado Starter Plan

For the first time Dubsado is offering two tiers for their platform. Starter and Premier. The Starter Plan gives you unlimited clients and projects. With the Starter Plan you’ll have access to invoices, payment plans, forms and email templates. You’ll also be able to customize all the branding elements so your clients will have an on-brand experience. 

I’m really excited for this option. It allows you unlimited time to set up your invoices and canned emails and design your process. For a brand new business this can take quite a bit of time to refine as you work with your clients for the first time. I found that I learned something new and wanted to tweak things after every client at the beginning. Depending on the volume of client interactions. This plan may be all you need. It is offered at $20 per month or $200 for the year.

Forms

Dubsado has an extensive library of templates for you to use and/or customize for your business. You can also build your own. Within the Forms Menu, you’ll be able to access Lead Captures, Proposals, Questionnaires, Sub-Agreements and Contracts. For my business, I use all of these features and heavily rely on the questionnaires to gather all the information I need from my clients to proceed with a project. 

Canned Emails

Canned Emails are simply templated emails that are used to communicate with all of your clients. I have canned email templates written for all of my touchpoints with my clients. During the Inquiry phase, for onboarding and welcoming, explaining legal requirements for websites and frequently asked questions, initial information gathering, project updates, and thank yous, final delivery and follow-ups at 30, 60, 90 days post-project. 

Invoices

Invoices can be a one-time invoice or recurring and allow you to collect payment for the services you offer after connecting a credit card processor.  I use the invoices generated directly from my contracts. Once the contract is signed it automatically sends the invoice where my clients can pay directly with the click of a button.

Payment Plans

Allow for invoices to get paid in full, through multiple scheduled payments, and with recurring invoices for subscription-like services. I opt to have two or three payments depending on the service. For VIP days, I require a 50% deposit with the remaining PIF on or before our VIP Day. For custom design. I require a 34% deposit, with 33% due on our start day and the remaining 33% due at the completion of the project. 

 
 
 

2 | The Original Dubsado Plan Is now the Premier Plan

Prior to this week, this was the only option beyond their free trial. In addition to all the features in the Starter Plan, the Premier Plan includes Public Proposals, Automated Workflow, Multiple Lead Captures, Scheduling and Zapier Integrations. 

The ability to have multiple Lead Captures is huge and may be worth the investment right from the beginning, if your business offers different types of services. Once you are at a place in your business where your workflows are established and you’ve been able to write them down, you’re definitely ready to make the leap to this plan and take advantage of Automated Workflows. This is really where the magic happens when things begin to work like clockwork and you reap the benefit of huge time savings. 

Public Proposals

Public Proposals differ slightly from regular lead capture forms in that they automatically generate an invoice and require payment to be made immediately. They are especially useful for Hourly appointments and Day Rate Models

Automated Workflows

This feature allows for you to combine actions and emails together in predefined orders to complete your work without having to click a button. With workflows you customize the 13 triggers and 15 actions to achieve your desired outcomes including automatically sending emails, completing tasks, creative invoices, and sending forms.

Multiple Lead Captures

Depending on your services you may have some that you’d like to have on a public proposal directly on your website or through social media. Other times you may want potential clients to fill out a simple or extensive application. Both are possible!

Scheduling

The Scheduler is still in Beta right now and is most useful for solo-run businesses wanting to schedule independent appointments. You can have multiple appointment types at the same time with individual schedulers. Currently, I could use this to have Discovery Call Time availability posted on my website and potential clients could schedule a call at the click of a button. 

Zapier Integrations

Having the ability to link your systems with a Zap is huge depending on the complexity of your business or your desired level of automation. Being able to streamline your systems and have things run smoothly allows you to spend your precious time on your most important work.

 
 
 

3 | Birthday Sale Details

Dubsado is holding a big birthday sale celebrating turning 6 this year! From Monday February 21st at 10 am PT through Friday February 25th at 2 pm PT.
