The Painted Hills in Central Oregon is a stunning landscape.
Your view is serene and colorful, quiet and picturesque, and definitely unique to behold. The wind whips at you constantly while you traverse the paths up to the main lookout.
There were only a few other travelers the day we were there. Mostly individuals, occasionally with a four-legged companion. We were the only family there that day. We broke the silence a bit as small children often do.
The expanse made me feel like a very small piece of a much larger canvas of life and time. We arrived at the top just in time to witness the sunsets play on the hills, illuminating the magnificent elements of the earth in a grand splendorous close to the day like only the most amazing sunsets do.
I hope this color palette inspires you in your work and your adventuring to experience as much of God’s handiwork as possible.
